Shvaas Spa's infrared sauna uses light-based heat to warm your body from the inside out — penetrating deeper than a traditional steam sauna while operating at a lower, more comfortable temperature. Unlike conventional saunas that simply heat the air around you, infrared heat works at the cellular level, triggering the same physiological response as moderate exercise.
People dealing with chronic stress, muscle soreness, joint pain, fatigue, skin issues, or anyone looking for a regular detox ritual. Infrared sauna pairs especially well with our float therapy or red light therapy sessions for a full recovery day.
Sessions run 30–45 minutes. Wear a bathing suit, shorts, or a sports bra — whatever's comfortable. Drink plenty of water before and after. Most guests begin to sweat within the first 10 minutes. You're welcome to listen to music, meditate, or simply rest.
• Deep detoxification through increased sweat
• Reduced muscle tension, soreness, and joint pain
• Improved circulation and cardiovascular health
• Cortisol reduction and nervous system calming
• Clearer skin through pore-opening perspiration
For general wellness, 2–3 sessions per week is ideal. Athletes and those managing chronic conditions may benefit from daily use. Our monthly memberships are designed to make regular sauna access affordable.
Please abide by these recommendations:
Please limit yourself to no more than 45 minutes. Do not smoke, exercise, eat, or drink beverages in the sauna room. Leave the sauna immediately if you experience any nausea, dizziness, hot flashes, cold chills, headaches or other discomfort. Drink plenty of fluids before and after leaving the sauna.
We want everyone to enjoy their experience at Shvaas Spa. If you have booked a session, we would like to recommend that all clients wear a bathing suit or shorts and sports bra, during their visits to the saunas.
An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to create heat. This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna — "far" describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body.
Some studies claim the supposed benefits of using an infrared sauna are similar to those experienced with a traditional sauna. These include:
